Prof. Rao Bhamidimarri, dean of the Faculty of Environment and Sciences, London South Bank University, UK, visited Hubei University of Technology (HBUT), June, 6, 2012. Director Terry Ye and Deputy-director Amy Long, HBUT International Office, received the distinguished guest. Also present at the reception meeting were Prof. Liao Jiaoping and Prof. Li Kaicheng, respectively dean and academic dean of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, HBUT. 
Terry first introduced the history and current development of HBUT, focusing on the unique international collaborative and exchange programs at HBUT. Subsequently, Prof. Bhamidimarri introduced the facts and figures at London South Bank University, followed by a fruitful discussion on the education programs and scientific research trends in the field of telecommunications and electronic information engineering etc, during which the two parties exchanged mutual intention of exploring joint postgraduate and PhD education, particularly the “1+1+1” postgraduate collaborative education model. Afterwards, Terry and Prof. Bhamidimarri signed a Memorandum of Understanding between HBUT and London South Bank University, laying a foundation for follow-up specific collaborative programs.
